St Francis Bay is situated on the coast with the Kromme River on the one side and the Indian Ocean on the other. This unique village is divided into various suburbs each with itís own architectural style property.
Only a hours drive from Port Elizabeth on the N2,this paradise is situated at the gateway to the Garden Route and draws holiday makers from all over the world to enjoy the various activities on offer.Be it big game fishing in the bay, golfing on the two renowned 18 hole golf courses or just navigating the extensive canal system St Francis Bay has it all.
The architecture varies from suburb to suburb with Santareme and Port St Francis boasting Mediterranean style homes. In the village the roofs are predominately thatch with white walls, with the canals a similar design. The St Francis Links was designed by Jack Nicklaus and the overall architecture is similar to that found in the Village. In the south 5 km from St francis Bay you find Cape St Francis with a lighthouse, a beacon for passing ships. This is a surfers and fishing mecca with wonderful white swimming beaches stretching for miles on the one side and on the other a rocky coast all the way to Thyspunt/ Oyster Bay side.
